The 3M Shared Services Centre is going to serve 3M’s branches and factories in the EMEA region. The first stage in the project will see the launch of IT-related services, then the centre’s operations will expand to include financial, accounting and HR processes. The decision to set up the 3M Centre in Wroclaw means that the company intends to run a comprehensive business activity, including manufacturing, R&D and finance. The launch of the 3M centre is scheduled for next year.
The decision to allocate investment in Wroclaw was encouraged by the support from the Agency for the Development of the Wroclaw Conurbation and the personal commitment of Mayor Rafał Dutkiewicz.
3M runs a manufacturing and trade activity in five business sectors: consumer goods, security and graphics, manufacturing, energy and electronics, health care. With its global outreach, the business has made its presence felt in 70 countries, and it also boasts 46 technological platforms.
